Satan is the accuser of the brethren and father of lies. He wanted to stop Paul’s mission to take the Gospel to the Gentiles, so the Jews brought unfounded accusations against him. He was found to be innocent of the charges. Paul continued his mission to take the Gospel to Rome. See how these events unfold in the Book of Acts.
Daniel in Old Testament times was falsely accused. They found nothing wrong. So they made an edict making it illegal to pray so they could entrap and kill him. They caught him praying, but God protected him in the lion’s den. God got the glory and He became the object of worship throughout the land! Daniel’s mission continued.
The Pilgrims came with the Gospel to our land, desiring to worship God freely without persecution from the Church of England. During the first winter, they almost died off, but God providentially sent Squanto to save them. As a result, the Pilgrims’ mission continued.
The United States’ constitutional foundation was laid by the Biblical principles brought here by the Pilgrims. As a result, the church in the U.S. has flourished and has become a major player in world evangelism. Satan would love to stop our mission! He’s trying hard!
We will be falsely accused to hinder our personal mission that God has given us as well.
We know from Jeremiah 29:11 and Ephesians 2:10 that we have a plan laid out for us. Watch out for the lies and accusations brought against us. Keep a clear conscience. The best defense is a good offense. Keep your eyes on the prize.
Use your rights when you need to. Paul used his rights as a Roman citizen to get a fair trial. You have a mission. Use wisdom to complete it and trust God to help you finish it when circumstances are out of your control. God will be your defense. In the end, we win! We are more than conquerors in Jesus Christ.
